Part-time MBA Test Waiver Request Form

Waiver requests must be made 15 days before the application deadline.

Please read the instructions below before completing this form.

Please complete this form if you believe your undergraduate or graduate major would qualify as a business major, but is not listed as a qualifying major and would like to request an evaluation of your major and transcripts by the Admissions Committee.

If your major is listed as a qualifying major as indicated on your transcript, and you meet the criteria listed below, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS REQUEST FORM and may apply directly to the Langone Part-time MBA program without pre-approval from the Admissions Committee. Again, if you meet the criteria as listed on the website indicate above, you do not need to complete this form. This form should only be used if you believe your major is not listed as a qualifying major.

Requests to consider majors outside of business will not be reviewed. Candidates MUST meet ALL other parameters to waive the standardized test requirement for the Langone Part-time MBA program, including the final cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. Please note exceptions to the GPA will not be granted.

In order to request a review of your undergraduate major, you MUST meet the following criteria:

Have earned a four-year bachelor's degree or graduate degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. — Please note that this must be a U.S. undergraduate institution; therefore, a degree from an institution outside of the U.S. does not qualify.
Have earned a final cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher on a four-point scale at the time of degree conferral — Degrees from institutions that do not grade on a 4.0 scale are not eligible for the waiver. Requests with a final cumulative GPA less than a 3.20 will not be reviewed.

Again, to submit a request for an evaluation of your undergraduate or graduate major, you must meet ALL other waiver conditions.
